“my sister’s plight” is a body of work completed primarily in 2019 following one of the most high profile influencer apologies to date. 

The work was displayed in its own show on the primary gallery of the Maryland Institute College of the Arts in Baltimore.

James Charles was not the first influencer to make a high profile apology. Like so many young folks with talent and charm he grew rapid online popularity and an audience at a rate that outstriped his own ability to comprehend it.

Then when faced with a decision that required maturity fell at the hurdle before millions.

In many ways I likened this to the story of Icarus with the pieces recounting its story.
